About the owner, Arlene Carrini
I had worked in the garment industry in NYC with an extensive background in Sales, Merchandising and Buying. I had been consigning my clothing for years when I decided it was time to open my own shop and put my expertise to use. I am excited to be in our 8th year of having this wonderful boutique. About 4 years ago I decided to extend our consignment boutique by buying brand new merchandise that was special as well as basic that looked and felt great! With this Nouvelle emerged a brand new womens boutique. We love having two different types of stores now in one location. We can offer our clients a wider variety.

How OSD started...
One Savvy Design originated in 2008 when Arlene was refinishing furniture and selling online. She was looking for a location but didn't actually open a store until 2012. Arlene always loved consigning her clothing so she had decided to open a store with both concepts, A shabby chic furniture store and a women's consignment boutique and that's when One Savvy Design Consignment Boutique came along. Arlene sold furniture for 8 years before she decided to part ways with the furniture part of the business due to back issues. Furniture is a rough business in which it took a lot of strength to carry those beautiful heavy pieces. She had a passion and love for giving new life to something old. Today she continues to have her consignment clothing boutique in the wonderful area of Montclair.
